A dust sample is collected from the mattress. Depending on the amount of debris, a test may be done by mixing the sample with a reagent test fluid. A test strip is then dipped into the fluid. After about 1 minute, the color of the test strip is compared with the Allergen Test Color Chart to give an indication of the level of infestation.
